THE LESSON: Succeeding in a new business can mean abandoning skills that worked the first time around

 

“A favorite with famous folks from NYC”, this Traditional American ensconced in one-time ice-cream parlor in a barn brings “gourmet cuisine to Chatham” via Bert Goldfinger’s  “well-executed” “seasonal” fare(“ask for grandma’s chicken, even though it’s not on the menu”); though weekenders love the “quirky décor” and “congenial service”, some beg “please speed it up”, while locals lament that it’s just a “hobby for a city foodie” and too “high-priced”; N.B. a post-survey renovation may outdate the above décor score.
